Hi all,

    What better way to update my journal than with some great news. My mama found an article and showed it to my brother, who then sent me the link. Here is an exerpt from the article:

    "Korn has parted ways with guitarist Brian Head Welch, who has chosen the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end. Korn respects Brian's wishes and hopes he finds the happiness he is searching for."

    Ok, so this may be sad news to all you Korn fans but it's absolutely wonderful news to my fellow Christians. Besides, Korn will find another guitarist. I'm sure of it.

    Anyway, Tuesday was the tenth anniversary of my papa's death. I still miss him a lot. It doesn't seem like it's been that long but at the same time it feels like forever. I have lots of good memories of him but I hate to admit that I kind of forgot what he looked like. I can't quite remember what he was like to be around. That makes me kind of sad but I know I'll see him again someday.

    So, this weekend, I have demos but I am off next weekend. YAY! I'm gonna start getting ready to take my SAT and then will schedule a visit at Georgia Military College. Once I finish that I will get my application filled out and sent in both to attend the college and for a grant to cover the costs.

    My tax refund came in today. I got a total of $192 back this year. I'd say that's pretty good for my first time filing taxes for myself. Well, actually my mama filed them for me. LOL I am going to get her to show me all the ropes during this summer so I can file them myself next year.

    MMM, we are having porcupines for dinner tonight. They are very good! Now, before you go wondering what kind of person I am to be eating something so weird, let me explain what it actually is. See it's really simple. Porcupines are just meatballs with rice cooked inside and topped with gravy or tomato sauce. They are to die for! I love them.
